THUNDER BAY – The Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) membership has elected Thunder Bay Victoria Ave. BIA member, Laury Alexander as a new Board member at the spring Annual General Meeting held in Niagara Falls. This is the first time OBIAA has had representation from Northwestern Ontario. OBIAA is fortunate to have such a capable individual add to the strength of an already seasoned roster of Board members.

Ms. Alexander was also elected Chair of OBIAA Government & Community Relations committee. Various Ontario Municipal and Provincial Government departments play a pivotal role in BIA policy development thru this committee. Ontario’s downtown business sectors and OBIAA members rely on policy development thru advocacy and additional partnerships while raising awareness and initiating discussions on varied issues impacting Ontario Business Improvement Areas.
