Navy League Set for Inspection

Navy LeagueTHUNDER BAY – The Annual Inspection of #28 Navy League Corps “Thunder” will happen on Saturday May 15, 2010 onboard HMCS Griffon, located at 125 N. Algoma Street starting at 12:00 noon. This inspection allows the public to see exactly what the 9-13 year old cadets have learned throughout the past training year in all things naval.  Cadet awards will also be presented at the end of the event.

A change of Command will also take place between the current Commanding Officer, Lieutenant (NL) Terry Favel and incumbent Commanding Officer, Sub Lieutenant (NL) Crystal Elliott.   Everyone is welcome to come and view the event.

The parade will form up inside the main drill deck around 11:45. Seating is limited so come early! Navy League Cadets are open to any child between the ages of 9 – 13 years of age.  For more information about our program please contact 345-5109 or check out their website at www.navyleague.ca.
