Gravelle to Make Announcement on Wood Supply

THUNDER BAY - Northern Development, Mines and Forestry Minister Michael Gravelle will make an important announcement about the province’s wood supply on Thursday in Thunder Bay.

Over the past weeks, and as a part of the Northern Growth Plan there have been concerns that the current process makes it very difficult, if not impossible for new companies to get into forestry. Access to wood has been difficult or expensive or both.

Tomorrow's announcement should offer an insight into what direction the Minister is taking.

The announcement will be made at Lakehead University on Thursday.
