Harper Looks to "Get by with a little help from his friends"

THUNDER BAY -Editorial- Who knew? Prime Minister Stephen Harper can sing. At the NAC Gala in Ottawa, an event chaired by Laureen Harper, the Prime Minister was a surprise performer.

The Prime Minister, who is usually a very private person let the Gala, and the media inside for a glimpse of his piano playing skills and singing.

The Prime Minister who is reputed to have a keen knowledge of rock music, along with a sense of humour, rarely lets that side of himself out, at least in public.

A few weeks ago, NetNewsledger.com featured a video with a rather talented Jack Layton singing a version of "Trailer, for sale or rent".

With the NDP now supporting the Conservative Government, the two political musicians, Harper and Layton have yet to announce a duet single. Perhaps now the pressure is on Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff to test his pipes for Canadians.
