Patrick Sharp and Stanley Cup at Boys and Girls ClubTHUNDER BAY – It was an energetic and very excited crowd at the Boys and Girls Club in Thunder Bay. The young people and parents had gathered for the opportunity to share a few moments with Patrick Sharp and the Stanley Cup.

Almost 250 people gathered at the Club, where Sharp was bringing the Stanley Cup as one of the special places which will receive a visit today.

There is an enormous amount of trivia associated with the Stanley Cup, author of The Hockey Bibliography, Professor Doug Thom shared that there is one woman’s name on the Cup, a lady who worked in the Colorado franchise office.

Professor Thom also commented that last year, the engraver added an extra a to Jordan Staal’s name on the Cup. That oversight has been fixed.

Patrick Sharp continues a tradition of having Northwestern Ontario hockey stars winning the Stanley Cup.
